i make it so damn easy

This was a week ago today down at the St. Lawrence Market. We went down there to pick up whatever we could for a sorta-Thanksgiving feast. It was a gorgeous day. We enjoyed the simplicity of peameal bacon on a bun. And I got some seriously good lamb and sausage. The vegetables were all good too, but it's hard to beat a rack of lamb.

The menu for Sunday was as follows:
roasted rack of lamb crusted in panko, garlic and parsley
roasted sausage "pinwheel" brushed with rosemary, olive oil and nutmeg on a bed of onions
sauce from above dish
"bubble and squeak" autumn vegetable mash
baked potatoes stuffed with sage, anchovy, garlic and bacon
raw beet, feta and pear salad
baked onion gratin
from Shannon, apple pie and peach pie from scratch

It was well received with the exception of the timing. Can't win'em all.

Today Shannon's at work and I'm guiltily listening to Beyonce very loud while typing this. I can't believe I still fall for her. I'm impervious to Gaga, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera and whatever other pop ladies are out there but here I go listening to "Why Don't You Love Me" for the 4th time in a row! I'm so ashamed (not really).
